Gage and Kelsey ...our grandchildren We started
the year with Janet's Parents, Dr. and Mrs.Garrett visiting with
us. We always enjoy being with them. On April 29, we had the honor of attending and celebrating Randy and Janet's, (Ray's brother and sister-in-law) 20th Anniversary as they renewed their wedding vows. During the morning service at Randy and Janet's church, New Beginnings Fellowship Church in Sulphur Springs, Texas, they renewed their wedding vows. Last July Randy committed his life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. To celebrate their family’s new beginning they renewed their wedding vows to show God their commitment to Him and to each other. After the exchange of vows there was a reception. In the first part of May, We took a 4 day weekend and went to Galveston Island, Texas. On our way to the island we stopped in Kemah, Texas and visited the Kemah Boardwalk, a waterfront dining and shopping area. While on the island we enjoyed eating a lot of seafood, walking on the beach, and going to the movies. We also visited the Moody Garden's Aquarium Pyramid. Moody Gardens invites guests to dive into four oceans of the world. Explore the complex beauty and seemingly endless species of marine life in the North Pacific, South pacific, South Atlantic and Caribbean at the Aquarium at Moody Gardens. Large touch tanks and jewel tanks will provide a variety of unique viewing opportunities and will submerse visitors in the vivid beauty of the ocean world and provide underwater classrooms and learning opportunities for people of all ages. After visiting the Aquarium Pyramid, we took a ride on the Colonel, a triple deck, 750 passenger paddlewheeler. The weekend was a much needed break. In the end of May and the 1st part of June, Janet's parents came to visit and helped us get several projects completed around the house and farm. We built lambing pens, rebuilt fences, installed gates, and rebuilt and added on to our back porch, and the list goes on. We greatly appreciated the help. Unfortunately, we did not get any pictures of the work in progress; we were too busy. On August 5th Kris, our son, and Gage, our grandson, arrived for a visit. We had a great week! They left August 11 to return to Denver.
